Why did I start this organization?
While completing my bachelors, my mentor Xavier Gonzalez, a tutor of various subjects, would share my contact information with aspiring medical school students who were having difficulty paying for MCAT tutoring services, and I would then tutor them for free.
This is when I first realized there was a need to facilitate access to resources. Fast forward to medical school, many of my friends spoke about the burden of having to pay for their USMLE examinations as they were already in debt.
As a result of these conversations and my previous experiences, I decided to start a scholarship fund that will help individuals who are struggling to pay for their examinations. I am hoping this will help aspiring physicians achieve their dream, while relieving them from financial stress.
